WHY THIS EXISTS
The name M.A.R.I.A. is a tribute to my mother.
Before it was a product, a brand or a strategy, M.A.R.I.A. was memory, respect and care.
Maria Jeane Pereira ( – ) spent her life taking care of people, mostly people no one else was taking care of. That example shapes me as her son, and it is what pushed me to build this platform.
In AppSec there is a lot of noise, a lot of tooling and very little clarity. I didn't want to build another showcase of features. I wanted to build real care for real software.
That's why M.A.R.I.A. stands for Management Application Risk Integrated Analysis. But above the acronym, it carries a simpler idea: technology can also take care of things.
What that means in practice
- Solve serious day-to-day problems before adding new features.
- Help teams prioritize what actually reduces risk.
- Build a product developers genuinely want to use.
- Measure success by real impact, not by buzzwords or quadrants.
Who builds this
I'm Cássio Pereira. M.A.R.I.A. is an independent, one-person initiative, and that's a deliberate choice: it means I answer your email myself, I can change direction in a week when the product is wrong, and I'd rather fix what hurts teams today than ship features that demo well. It also means I'm honest about the trade-off — you'll find capabilities here that bigger platforms don't have, and enterprise checkboxes there that this doesn't have yet.
Taking better care of software means taking better care of people.
If that makes sense to you, come build it with me from the start.
